[Michael Alig: My Take On The Alternative - Guest Contributor]

I recently had an opportunity to talk to the one and only Michael Alig about his views on the alternative realm..... stay tuned for more snippets!

     By its very definition there will ALWAYS be an "alternative" scene due to the fact there will always be something to be "alternative" to.  The main thing is that you have to be careful what you ask for.  As soon as the "alternative" [scene] becomes too big, it is no longer alternative and it has become the dreaded establishment. A *new* alternative will spring up to subvert it!  It took me many years to understand this fully, by the way.  I had to live an experience it myself.
